Now we need to split that up into six equal parts to get the answer. 35/4 divided by 6 is the same thing as 35/4 times 1/6... just like 4 divided by two is the same thing as 4 times 1/2, and 9 divided by 3 is the same thing as 9 times 1/3, get it? So, back to the problem... 35/4 times 1/6... 35 times 1 is 35, and 4 times 6 is 24. So the answer is 35/24. However 35 divided by 24 is also written as 1 and 11/24 because twenty-four goes in to thirty-five one time, and the remainder is eleven. So, your answer is 35/24 or 1 11/24 cups of flour.
