Writers, If 39 Strangers Loved Your First Page But 1 Editor Said It Was Garbage, Who Would You Believe?

Well, if I posted on here and 39 people said it was great, I'd think they only wanted best answer. The people do decide what they want to read, but editors want to publish things that appeal to more than internet bums(that the story "I" posted on the internet was probably the first story they read that wasn't igned to them by a teacher).
